Spring in Arches National Park
Flowers and Sandstone!!!
May 4-6, 2012
Spring in Arches National Park combines pleasant temperatures and wild flowers galore. April and May are typically the peak months for most blooming vegatation in the park and when joined with the surreal sandstone landscape it is hard to not find potential photographs to be made in every direction you gaze. During this 3-day tour we will photograph the majesty of this wonderland. As a bonus, one evening will be spent photographing at night so you can learn some of Jeff's nighttime techniques.
Many of the locations are roadside or require a short walk to deliver us to extraordinary locations. As is true for all of Jeff's tours, you can not only expect to have photographic opportunities be maximized but you will also get significant time with learning Jeff's post-processing techniques. For the entire tour we will be based out of Moab.
Itinerary
- Friday, May 4: Sunrise and morning photography in the Windows area. Early afternoon critique and discussion session. Late Afternoon and sunset photography in the Balanced Rock area.
- Saturday, May 5: Sunrise and morning photography in the Courthouse Towers area. Early afternoon critique and digital darkroom session. Late afternoon and sunset photography in the Delicate Arch area. Bonus: Evening photo shoot.
- Sunday, May 6: Sunrise and morning photography in the Devils Garden area. Afternoon critique session. Late afternoon and sunset photography in the Fiery Furnace area.
*Tentative - I keep the itinerary very flexible so that I can put you in the best locations
at the best times depending on weather and conditions.
