This photograph epitomizes the colors found in Colorado during autumn. These freshly fallen leaves were found on the forest floor on Red Mountain Pass.

This shot was made in a grove of aspens in the winter. The "smooth" effect is due to the camera movement I was making during the exposure. As with similar shots of this nature, I had to make many attempts to get the effect I was wanting.
