The Cascade mountain range is a photographers playland. The ancient volcanoes that shaped the Pacific Northwest provide endless photographic possibilities. The diverse landscape is dotted with hundreds of lakes that reflect the majesty of the surrounding peaks. The network of rivers and creeks feed millions of gallons of pristine water over scores of waterfalls. This is truly a photographers paradise. Come join your experienced photo guide, Jeff Jessing, as he takes you on an odyssey of the Oregon Cascades.
Oregon in August offers the ideal weather and conditions for this photographic adventure. The days are typically in the 60º F to 80º F range with slight case chance of precipitation. You will be photographing landscapes and wildlife ranging from the low river valleys to the alpine regions near treeline. Jeff will get you to the best locations at the right times to maximize the drama in the scenes.
Many of the locations are roadside or require a short hike to deliver us to extraordinary locations. As is true for all of Jeff's tours, you can not only expect to have photographic opportunities be maximized but you will also get significant time with learning Jeff's post-processing techniques.
